What To Expect...
Friendly Folk
A family-oriented, friendly church family
We like to share with others that we are all related by blood. That, of course, being the blood of Christ who by His Spirit has made us one. If you stop by, you will find real people who really care. We all have our faults, and because of that we choose to love one another, encourage one another, and lift up each other as we labor together for the glory of God and the gospel of Christ
Congregational Hymns
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. - Colossians 3:16
Turn in Your Hymnal to Page...
We still love to sing the old hymns right out of the Rejoice!, blue-backed hymnals, and to lift the name of our God and His Son Jesus Christ in praise with timeless songs such as The Old Rugged Cross, Shall We Gather At The River, Tell Me The Story of Jesus, and I'll Fly Away! These beloved songs written by people of faith still ring true with the doctrine of the Word of God woven into every line, and are both encouraging and instructional. We Love To Tell The Story of that Amazing Grace which brought to us the Blessed Assurance that When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder, we'll continue to sing I Am Thine O' Lord!
Expositional Teaching
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. - Matthew 28:20
Our desire is to honor the Lord by honoring his word. In Psalm 38:2 the Bible reads "I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name". The infinite wisdom and glory of God seen in the natural light of His creation, is also seen in the richness, purity, and wisdom of His holy Word. We study the Holy Scriptures each week as a congregation in order to receive the light of God's Word as we walk through this life. Psalm 119:105 tells us - "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
When Jesus Christ asked Peter "Lovest thou me?", Peter responded by affirming his love for Christ and even referencing Christ's omniscience in his response. Christ then tells him, "Feed my sheep". The Word of God made flesh, the Living Bread, is that food we need most desperately. Interestingly, Christ told Peter "Feed my sheep" and not "entertain my sheep".
Similarly, he chose his apostles and established His church through their preaching ministry rather than using them as a praise and worship team. There is no substitute for the preaching of the Word of God!
Biblical Preaching
"For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe". -1 Corinthians 2:21.

"Preach the Word" - 2 Timothy 4:2
Independent
The authority of the local, new testament church is Jesus Christ the Lord Himself, and He governs it by His Spirit and Word through the local assembly. He alone is the head of the church, not any other agency, board, or organization of men.
Missionary
The greatest gift of God to man is His own Son Jesus Christ and the Eternal life promised to those who trust in Him. We actively participate in prayer and giving to support missionaries who take this gift all around the globe.
Evangelistic
The word evangelist in scripture means "a bringer of good tidings". There are no other tidings nearly as good as the "good tidings" of the gospel of Jesus Christ with the declaration that he came to save sinners!
KJV
The King James Version of the Scriptures has been demonstrably proven by experience and history to be "profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness", and has been accompanied by the power of God's Holy Spirit during the greatest spiritual revivals in history. We are inclined to stick with it.
